Josh Ryan-Collins
Josh Ryan-Collins is a researcher in the business, finance and economics team at nef (the new economics foundation). His research areas include time banking, co-production, efficiency measures, economic renewal, housing and land issues, local currencies and monetary reform. Josh was the lead author of nef’s report Fool’s Gold, which showed how the 2012 Olympics are currently failing to insure benefit to local communities in London’s East End.
Before joining nef, Josh worked at Local Futures and as a strategic analyst at the Central Office of Information in the Cabinet Office where he developed communication strategies for a wide range of government departments and agencies. He has a BA in Sociology and a Masters in Industrial Relations from the University of Warwick.
Outside of nef, Josh has helped to develop the Brixton Pound, a local currency for Brixton supported by its Transition Town group.
