John Sauven
John Sauven is the executive director of Greenpeace UK. He has worked for Greenpeace since the early 1990s, where he has campaigned to ban underground nuclear testing in the Pacific and to end the Trident nuclear programme in the UK. John has also lead campaigns to stop deforestation in the Amazon, Congo and Indonesia and to protect temperate rainforests in Canada. As part of Greenpeace’s work on deforestation, he promote the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) which certifies sustainable wood and paper products.
