Fred Pearce
Fred Pearce is a science writer and journalist, and a leading contributor to New Scientist magazine. He is the author of Confessions of an Eco Sinner (2008), The Last Generation (2007), With Speed and Violence: Why scientists fear tipping points in climate change (2007), When the Rivers Run Dry (2007), Earth: Then and Now (2007) and Deep Jungle (2006). Fred has won several awards for his writing, including UK Environmental Journalist of the Year in 2001 and the CGIAR Agricultural Research Science Journalism award in 2002. He contributes to New Scientist’s Short Sharp Science blog and writes the Greenwash blog for The Guardian, which exposes the exaggeration, absurd claims or downright lies that big business makes about its green credentials.
