Dan Hind
Dan Hind is a writer and publisher. His first book The Threat to Reason: How the Enlightenment was hijacked and how we can reclaim it was published by Verso in 2007. The book argues that today’s ultra-rationalist defenders of the Enlightenment need to realise that the biggest threat to reasonable public discourse is not homeopathy, post-modernism or religious fundamentalism, but rather the abuse of science and Enlightenment discourse by corporations and the state. It was praised as “fine, lucid and sharp” by the Sunday Times, and an “elegant polemical essay” by the Independent. Dan blogs at http://thethreattoreason.blogspot.com/.
