nef (the new economics foundation)About nef (the new economics foundation)

nef is an independent think-and-do tank. We believe in economics as if people and the planet mattered.

We aim to improve quality of life by promoting innovative solutions that challenge mainstream thinking on economic, environment and social issues. We work in partnership and put people and the planet first.

To find out more about what we do, visit the main nef website here.

Support our work

There is a way the economy can work for people and planet. A way to create greater social justice and well-being and still protect the environment. But creating this new economy will require a huge shift in ideas and institutions.

At nef we are working to make this change happen. We challenge mainstream thinking on economic, environmental and social issues. We bring together innovation and research with practical projects. We’re not supported by any political party but by thousands of individuals who share our vision.

We need your help. Join nef as a supporter and be part of the change that is so urgently needed. When you join nef you’ll also receive our regular newspaper, Radical Economics, 20 per cent off nef publications and ticketed events, invitations to free nef events, and regular updates on nef’s work.

If you’re not able to join nef at this time, you can still make a one-off donation via JustGiving.
